Powerlifting
Powerlifting
Welcome to PHS Powerlifting! The first unofficial requirement to become a powerlifter is to begin training like one. If you have little experience with weight training at all, begin a novice lifting program that focuses on building upper and lower body strength through bench presses, deadlifts, and squats. For detailed requirements and/or questions about becoming part of the PHS Powerlifting program, please contact Coach Ricketts.

Softball
Spartan Softball- Stronger. Faster. More Explosive.
2023 District 16-5A Co-Champions and Bi-District Champions
The Spartan Softball program provides an opportunity for athletes to experience intense, competitive, and disciplined softball. Most players enter the program with competitive select experience, but we have some who are newer to the sport as well. Athletes will train on the field, developing and refining fundamental skills, in the weight room, building and maintaining strength, and engaging in agility and injury prevention drills in order to ensure safety and strength on the field. We strongly believe in well-rounded athletes here at Porter and devote our training sessions to ensure the athletes have every opportunity to succeed not only in their sport, but also in the classroom.

Tennis
Tennis
Spartan tennis is one of the few athletic sports that will allow students to try-out regardless of his or her experience level. We are comprised of students who have played for years and those who have never picked up a racquet. The requirements are dedication, commitment and a willingness to try new things. If you are interested, please contact Coach White.
